M. Scott Alprin, Esq.
Founder, President
M. Scott Alprin is the president of Alprin Law Offices, P.C. He is a native of Washington, D.C. and received his Juris Doctor from American University (in Washington, D.C.) Washington College of Law in 2000. He also holds Master of Arts degrees in International Relations from both American University and Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, Japan.
Mr. Alprin has extensive experience in the field of intellectual property and is a member of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association and the International Trademark Association. In addition to managing Alprin Law, Mr. Alprin speaks on U.S. trademark law. He has given lectures in Japanese in Tokyo and Nagoya to members of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA) and lectured in Japanese to students at the Osaka Kougyo Daigaku on the subject of trademark prosecution in the United States. Mr. Alprin has given numerous presentations on the latest developments in U.S. trademark law at clients’ offices throughout Japan.
Scott lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and three children. His hobbies include studying kanji, attempting to restart his marathon “career,” and recounting his glory days as a “star” ice hockey player for the Chunichi Wings of Nagoya, Japan.
