In the summer of 2005, M. Scott Alprin bought a new computer, ordered some letterhead from a local printer, and began Alprin Law Offices in his Dupont Circle apartment in downtown Washington, D.C. When the firm’s fax machine would receive a transmission in the middle of the night, the sound from the office would sometimes awake Scott and Anneliesa. Scott would whisper to his new bride: “the wheels of commerce are turning.” Scott started off with two clients and just two matters. Each year, the business has grown exponentially. Today, Alprin Law Offices, P.C. has over 300 clients representing thousands of trademark matters and companies around the world including Japan, China, Singapore, Taiwan, India, Germany, Italy, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Australia, Chile, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico.
Alprin Law has built a solid practice on a simple philosophy of fair prices, prompt services, and exceptional value for the client. We are passionate about our work and about creating lasting relationships that are both professional and personal. We care about our clients and generously give of our time and expertise to achieving the best results possible. These are the core values of Alprin Law and what drives us everyday.
Combining a creative personality – serenading his children with piano and saxophone, working on a book for teaching kanji to Westerners – with a tenacious pursuit of justice for his clients, Scott has developed a thriving law practice, “with humanity.”
