Yuka Kobayashi is an associate attorney with Alprin Law. She has comprehensive knowledge of trademark and copyright protection. Prior to coming to the U.S., Yuka worked as a trademark/patent attorney, Benrishi, in Japan for six years. She handled all aspects trademark prosecution, opposition, litigation and negotiations at one of the top law firms in Japan.
Yuka graduated from International Christian University in Tokyo. Subsequently, she received an IP LL.M. from the University of Washington in 2006 and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 2015. At Georgetown Law, Yuka served as assistant managing editor of the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal. Prior to working at Alprin Law, Yuka worked as International Trademark Consultant in a boutique IP law firm in Alexandria, VA, assisting with U.S. trademark prosecution and portfolios. Additionally, Yuka worked at the leading software industry trade association protecting members’ intellectual property rights. She engaged in removing unauthorized distribution of members’ software under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). After law school, Yuka engaged in complex antitrust litigation and regulatory matters. When she is not at work, she enjoys taking long walks in the park and spending time with her family. |
